Call the save a file function

Postby soz_psych » Fri Mar 20, 2015 10:00 am

Hi,
I'm adapting the old randomize-function to fit my own needs. After a run, I would love to save the output in the simple make-human format. Can anybody give me a hint, whether I can call something as a "saveas" function.

Thanks,

Thank you very much for your answer.
However, i have now two follow-up questions
1. Is there any similiar function which starts the rendering process?
2. Is there any documentation of the functions? I tried to figure the answer to 1 out by just reading the source-code, but I don't get the structre of the source at the moment. Is there anything written, where which function in the source code should be?

Thank you again for your help,

There is documentation on the website.
http://www.makehuman.org/doc/node/direc ... dules.html
http://www.makehuman.org/doc/node/makeh ... ystem.html

There's also the beginnings of an API doc at http://download.tuxfamily.org/makehuman/api/index.html
But it's not complete yet. We need time, extra help, or both to make it complete.

You can look at the source of the rendering plugin for more details, it should be relatively easy to understand.
The rendering plugin relies on api calls of the underlying core components, which are reusable.
