use a code to calculate a character's mass

Postby studentJM » Thu Jan 09, 2020 4:09 pm

Hello,
I'm a newcomer (and a new user of makehuman) so I don't know if my post is in the right place here... sorry if it's not.

I would like to associate the weight percentages used in the modeling of a character with a real mass. For this, I found this post :
viewtopic.php?f=7&t=9496&start=10
which give that code :
https://bitbucket.org/MakeHuman/makehum ... imation.py

Can someone explain to me how to run this program in makehuman?

Thank you very much for your help!

You download the code and install it in ${MAKEHUMAN_USERHOME}/v1py3/plugins/. Start MakeHuman and go to the settings->User Plugins tab and make sure the plugin is enabled.

Model your character as normal and when you want to know how much they weigh go to Utilities/Weight Estimator and you'll have weight estimates based on may standards of estimate.

Have fun!
