theory behind the makehuman

Hi, I recently found that makehuman a really good software. And I am wondering that what's the theory behind the software? Does anyone konw that is there some papers or blogs about the theory?

Here is a link to a wiki article on what calculations are done and why not so much the theory but the nuts and bolts but makehuman is what is called a parametric modifier modeller there where several papers it was based on but I was not around for that phase of the project so for more detail you may have to wait till Joel is back from his Christmas trip.
