FPS hands animation

Postby KV6129 » Tue Nov 13, 2018 12:17 am

Hey guys, so I'm trying to figure how to make hands for my FPS game.
This is what achieved importing a MH character from Blender and removing unnecessary mesh/bones.

I had the hope that it would work with mixamo animations but it doesn't.

What are the choices for someone who knows almost nothing about blender or animation in general?

Maybe just remove some mesh and leave the armature as it is ? You will not see the skeleton in your game

or

1 Use Mixamo with full character, dont remove anything
2 Remove unecessary mesh in blender :

Use the numpad of your keyboard to lock 3D view, select face and not vertex ,use the button "c" and "b" to use proper tools to select faces. That has to be done before. Your job on your mesh is messy.vv

3 Record your arms bones animations in global coordinates (because your bone animation are local ; it means they are moving on the basis of their parent)

4 remove all the parent bones of your arm bones but keep a parent bone which keep the 2 arms together .. You have a new armature.
