Issue with Quads to tris

I have a mesh I'm making trying to use the base mesh, but every time I try to makeclothes, it says there are tris. I have corrected this by finding them and subdividing a side, they no longer show up as tris to blender so it shouldn't show up that way to Makehuman right?

Does it actually say there are tris, or does it say there are non-quads?

Faces in blender can be n-gons too, ie for example a five-sided face. Those are not acceptable either.

Wound up having some ngons and a piece of loose geometry, fixed it and then had to fiddle with the vertex groups because one vertex somehow got assigned to all groups. Thanks for the help
