Legal question about MakeHuman and CC0 license

"Content created with MakeHuman is licensed under the CC0 license" - does it mean that if I use makehuman to create a base for a character then my entire character is in the public domain? I would think that it doesn't, because what I create on top of what MakeHuman exports is my work and a separate creation (derivative work?). But I am not a lawyer so I thought I better ask you guys, is there any legal complications of using MakeHuman characters as bases in a commercial game that I don't intend to make open source or anything like that?
