Replacing Basemesh with Custom

Postby candide » Tue Jun 02, 2020 10:00 pm

I'd like to replace the default basemesh in make human, with one of my choosing. I need assistance in the best way to replace the basemehs. Yes, i'm aware that it has to have the same vertex order, that problem has been solved. Simply looking for advice in locating the default basemesh in the file structure or best tactics beyond what is listed above.

Thanks.

The base mesh is called base.obj and resides under data/3dobjs. It's a simple wavefront obj file.

Unless the first 19k-20k something vertices exist, belong to the same face groups and reside in roughly the same place, results will be random. But adding more vertices after the ones currently existing in the base mesh has been shown to work previously.

Thanks Joel for the quick response. Question, I'm not seeing the "base.obj" in the file folder. Only seeing the "base.mhpxy" and "base.npz" and suggestions

You need to run from source to see uncompiled assets. The builds only contain pre-processed assets.
