can I fusion several objects to create an asset

Postby Anstrah » Sat Jul 01, 2023 7:34 am

Hello!

I would like to know if, when I create an asset from the makehuman helper, I can add different objects, that don't belong to the helper at the begining, and fusion them to a part of the helper to create the final asset. If I do it, will the weightingd be affected? Is it better to use only the parts belong to the helper?

Thank you in advance for your answer!

It should be perfecly possible to create a clothing asset from joined objects. The weight painting isn't affected, since it is interpolated from the body when you load the asset later on.

You will however need to redo the UV mapping. Things such as mark seam and UV unwrap.
