Skin is Black in Blender 2.80

Skin is Black in Blender 2.80

When I bring a makehuman figure into blender 2.80 thru the socket connection no matter what skin I have assigned it...it come in black and no amount of light in blender changes it. However if I import as a collada or .obj it comes in correctly (with the exception of the rig).
Any ideas on what is causing this?

Welcome aboard JR not sure exactly what is going on but support for blender 2.8 is still very much a work in progress as it's Python API is not finished and still changing radically all most weekly till it stabilises not much we can do with trying to hit a moving target that is that API.
ps Is this with eevee or cycles as the render engine

It happens in both Cycles and Eevee. I figured out a work-around just now. When I look at the toon's skin material in Blender it is black, if I just change that to the correct skin color all is good...duh! Thanks for your reply.
