If your error logs are literally the same as TAIPANSC error logs, I think you have somehow not downloaded the latest version which should have a version line that says,
DEBUG -- VERSION: 1.2.0 Alpha3
TAIPANSC error log refers to what was an earlier alpha build (although it wasn't properly tagged as such at the time),

The error in the log seems related to an opengl error that occurred most frequently on AMD graphics cards (and some Mac OSXs with Nvidia cards). It is not clear that there were not other systems that suffered like TAIPANSC Intel graphics card.
I recommend downloading again from the URL below and seeing if things don't go better:
