Can I adjust the 'mesh' for a cylinder rigid body?

So I'm trying to create a themed catapult animation for my 3d animation project and was following a tutorial on animating the target object (the spray can). When I set the collision shape to a Cylinder, the 'mesh' (idk what it's called) is set to only the upper half of the spray can, so when I animate it only that first half has the physics. Anyone know where I went wrong? Thank you!
