Anime Girl

Postby brkurt » Sun Nov 27, 2011 11:07 pm

Hello everyone...here is the first in my series of Anime characters; I've taken a standard Makehuman mesh (albeit nightly build 1808), and using Michel Roger's excellent tutorial on building Joan of Arc, created an Anime / Manga character using Joan's proportions. :o

So, given a standard Makehuman female, the torso and arms must be reduced to 90%, and the head increased by 10%. The eyes are double the standard human size, and the eye sockets tilted 15 degrees through the Y-axis. :geek:

Interestingly enough, remove the hair and eyebrows, and change the skin color to grey, and you've got your standard extra-terrestrial. :?

I invited all the anime types to download the model, and work on it.

and here is video of mesh and materials:

And here is the same facial principles, applied to last night's SVN:

What interests me is the fact that my eyes adapt to this face, which is clearly outside the human norms. 8-)

You can play with this file at:

but it will be subject to a lot of revisions; I'm going to use it to finally learn IK/FK rigging. :geek:

And here is a video; I've smoothed out the face, and added some post-apocalyptic clothing. Just call her Mad Maxine.
