HOT DAY a 3D short animation comedy

HOT DAY, my first short animation is up. It runs for just over 5 minutes.

I made HOT DAY with Blender 2.79b, and the humanoids are from MakeHuman 1.1.1. This was shot at 24fps.

The hardware used is a Mac Mini, late 2014,
with a 2.8 GHz Dual-Core Intel Core i5 processor, and 8 GB of ram. Rendering was tough. This Mac Mini is now retiring, and I’m upgrading to the latest Mac Mini for my next short, which is already in progress.

I'm only four years in using MH and Blender 3D, and absolutely love it."Hot Day" was my first 3D short, and since last summer have been working on my second one "Lost ID", a suspense thriller that takes place in New Mexico, U.S.A. It has only two characters, and both are Make Human's with one being on an iPhone screen.

Getting "Hot Day" out was paramount to make sure it got me over that self negative critique that can just paralyze a project. And trust me there were times when I just wanted to say "forget it". Last June, Sue's voice over quit when her lines were 90% done. So I had to re-do the voice over and re-render her part. However I'm thrilled I saw it to completion. And looking back, it was a lot of fun.
I hope to see your work in the future.
