Hello,

I continue to offer you a sample of my comic series Line and Amande, where I use the language of Europanto in the dialogues (see definition of this “language” in my first post).

In this episode, Line and Amande visit a laboratory. They talk to a researcher who explains to them what organoids are.

For non-Europeans, I translate the dialogues and give some explanations:

1st image:
The laboratory.
The researcher:
- Organoids are mini-organs made from stem cells

2nd image:
A culture plate containing organoids.
The researcher:
- Here are organoids of the brain, intestine, lung, liver, stomach and retina.

3rd image:
An animal experimentation laboratory:
The researcher:
- This would make it possible to better care for humans while sparing animals.
The animals breathe sighs of relief.

I remind you that for the backgrounds and various objects of my comics, I use either personal photos or royalty-free and free images that I download. I then make edits and additions with Photoshop. Regarding assets, with the Material Editor, I frequently change colors and often do overlays or edits with Photoshop to achieve the desired clothing or poses.

Hello,

I continue to offer you a sample of my comic strip series Line and Amande, where I use the language of Europanto in the dialogues (see definition of this "language" in my first post).

In this episode, Line and Amande are blocked on the road by a farmers' demonstration. They question them about their demands.

For non-Europeans, I translate the dialogues and give some explanations:

1st image:
The demonstration.
Amande:
- What is it?
A farmer:
- We want a decent income, the cancellation of taxes on diesel, the postponement of the Europhyto plan against pesticides, the extension of water storage...

2nd image:
The farmers turn around.
Line:
- And why are you leaving?
The farmer:
- Because we got what we wanted from the government.

3rd image:
Drought image: drying up of water tables, arid soil, spraying of pesticides, widespread pollution.
Amande:
- Did they really win?
Line:
- Yes, the right to sacrifice ecology!

I remind you that for the backgrounds and various objects of my comics, I use either personal photos or free and royalty-free images that I download. I then make montages and additions with Photoshop. Concerning the assets, with the material editor, I frequently modify the colors and often make superpositions or montages with Photoshop to obtain the desired clothes or poses.

Hello,

I continue to offer you a sample of my comic strip series Line and Amande, where I use the language of Europanto in the dialogues (see definition of this "language" in my first post).

This episode is set in the period of the campaign for the legislative elections in France. Line and Amande go to the meetings of the extreme right and the extreme left.

For non-Europeans, I translate the dialogues and give some explanations:

1st image:
The meeting of the extreme right.
The speaker:
- We are going to give power to the people!

2nd image:
The meeting of the extreme left.
The speaker:
- We are the camp of social, ecological, popular victories and peace!

3rd image:
The two meetings. Hidden behind each platform, characters appear: Nazis for the extreme right, veiled pro-Hamas women for the extreme left.

Amande:
- Hey, hey, who are...
Line:
- … those characters behind the scenes?

I remind you that for the backgrounds and various objects in my comics, I use either personal photos or royalty-free and free images that I download. I then edit and add with Photoshop. Regarding the assets, with the material editor, I frequently modify the colors and often perform superpositions or edits with Photoshop to obtain the desired clothes or poses.

Hello,

I continue to offer you a sample of my comic strip series Line and Amande, where I use the language of Europanto in the dialogues (see definition of this "language" in my first post).

In this episode, Line and Amande are worried about the growing number of SUVs.

For non-Europeans, I translate the dialogues and give some explanations:

1st image:
In a parking lot, where an SUV is parked.
Amande:
- It only takes up 3 spaces!

2nd image:
In a gas station. Line and Amande look at the price displayed at the pump for a full SUV.
Line:
- €144, a trifle!

3rd image:
A traffic jam of SUVs in front of an oil refinery.
Line:
- What is this traffic jam?

Amande:
- It's a procession to the Sainte-Raffinerie.

I remind you that for the backgrounds and various objects of my comics, I use either personal photos or royalty-free and free images that I download. I then make montages and additions with Photoshop. Concerning the assets, with the material editor, I frequently modify the colors and often make superpositions or montages with Photoshop to obtain the desired clothes or poses.

You are most welcome, Flute.

I actually mentioned your art in one of my Blender/MPFB posts. Yep. You do good stuff. As far as I know, yours is unique here. I do not see anybody else employing your method.

Having spent some time looking over your work, I can tell that it took quite a bit of effort to get at the final results you are posting and I must say that this is what makes it so impressive. I even tried to do some art using your process and failed miserably.

I am still in the charactor generation phase of human making and have yet to figure out how to put my models into scenes. I have gone into the Blender world, though. The things I need to do are in there. I cannot load premade expressions yet because the plugin has no method for that at the moment. However, I am learning how all those bones work and I am even finding the uses for the helpers and weight physics.

You keep right on posting. I guarantee it is not going out into the desert, Ma'am. The eyes of the ranger are upon you...

Hello Ricardo2020,
Thanks again for your kind message, which made me very happy.
My method for incorporating characters created with makehuman into a setting is quite simple:
On makehuman, I take a screenshot of the character in the pose I previously chose; with Photoshop I retrieve this photo, which arrived in C:\Users\cathe\Documents\makehuman\v1py3\grab, I cut it out and "paste" it into the image I prepared. That's it.
In the few years that I have been practicing makehuman, I have collected a lot of assets, and I manage to get by with skins, clothes, etc. When I am missing an expression, I can make one with the "expression mixer" utility. The only assets that I really miss are the poses, because they are infinite, and it is very important for me to show the most precise gesture possible, the least approximate. And I don't know how to do that, since I don't use Blender, too complex for me. Some mh members have already provided me with some, but I'm still hesitant to bother them with that. If there could be a "pose mixer" utility, that would solve the problem for me.
There you have it, you know everything. Thanks again for your kindness!

Sorry. I am rarely here, but from time to time I should do that.

I have to admit I am sitting in really big vehicles, these things are called busses (I have to rent a car just in case)
In big cities the cars aren't a symbol of freedom anymore. I know a lot of young people, who may have a driver's license, but not a car. Some even do not have a license.

When not on country-side this already changes.

And about politics: the age of the loudmouths has started. Most people seem to be bored and search for a real leader. Especially since essential topics are in danger. Like driving around as fast as we can, having vacation 4 times a year etc etc. No it are NOT only the poor people voting them (the typical argument from the "social studies").

Honestly: I am not sure if we will wake up before we get really into trouble :(

Anyway for more varying poses I have already build sth. since one can take one out of an animation.
There will be also a "renderer" which creates the character on a transparent background (no screenshot needed). Light situation can also be set rather simple.
A few functions might be added to modify the poses. Here I need some more knowledge, since it is not that easy like clicking on a bone in Blender ...

But unfortunately time is limited. And my profile on github shows that I am not lazy.

https://github.com/black-punkduck

This is the current status (see the mp4 for animation):

Hello, Mr. Punkduck, and thank you for your comments on big vehicles and populist leaders.
And above all: I particularly appreciate what you announce about the diversification of poses. This is the point that concerns me the most in the making of my characters. Being able to give them the most precise pose possible could give me much more freedom in my comics.
Thank you for everything you do for makehuman, it is really precious to me.
