Greetings Makehuman,

As most of you know a makehuman 2.0 is in the works for some time now, and some progress has been made. A release date is far off in the future still however. That said I was tasked with creating some fantasy base meshes for the new makehuman in the spirit of stepping away from pure human character creation. I created a female furry fox as illustrated in this post, and will also make a male furry wolf model. I ask of you now, community to show where your interests lie, by voting for your one choice of model to see on launch as an available base mesh alongside your already familiar human counterparts. This will be a big help having a window into your creative desires :D.

~Also feel free to post any thoughts you may have or state any ideas you may come up with also-as the sky is truly the limit ....but we must first drag all dreams to earth ;)

We need voters ! ;)

Well the reason is, we need to test the new version from the beginning. This version will support different meshes and a lot of other features. But, yes it is still a lot of work to do. But to do tests, it makes sense to see if everything works as expected.

So Elv will help and create a few characters. These will be used later in the new version. I got a fitting texture this week and I managed to place Roxie in the tool already. The targets are not yet realized but will work the same.

Some of the Blender tools we created are flexible enough to work with other meshes. Makeclothes is based on configuration files, now I added a new one. The eyes were made with that on a helper mesh today. It is the first asset of a different mesh.

Also Maketarget has different files to mirror vertices. So this is also part of the first steps.

With your votes you have an influence of the characters we will add.

Greetings

Wonderful thoughts salty! Orc was actually on my first draft list! Leprecaun is a really cool idea!

We need a really good mermaid and merman. In one of my comic book stories being planned, there is a planet ruled by merpeople. These beings are almost immortal. The females have wings that are shed after they mature and mate. The males do not have wings. Both genders can breathe air as well as take in O2 via gills when they are submerged. These entities are sentient, and have developed into a star fairing civilization which is able to cross galaxies and even astral project into other universes.

The females have a quality similar to electric eels. They hold an electric charge. They use it as a weapon of defense. The strategy is to grab a foe within a strong embrace of "love", wherein their breast nipples release the charge with fatal results to the one being hugged. The males lack this ability, but due to their almost super human strength, can kill b by simply crushing their victim. In all cases, the slain opponent is eaten. The natural enemy of these merfolk is the giant sea gar which feeds on the younglings.
